Seven riders and myself headed early Friday morning for the Channel tunnel and into Belgium. The aim was to ride all the classic cobbles of the Tour of Flanders over the next three days. With the weather forecast not looking great it was going to be a tough challenge.
But the weather held off all weekend – a little windy – and the cobbles stayed dry. With climbs over 20% everything was rideable.
The accommodation was great and being only a two hour drive from the ferry port / Tunnel it’s a great destination for a long weekend of iconic cycling ..
We will be back next year for sure !
