Great summer Solstice ride with my local club

On the Saturday closest to the summer solstice my local club ( Black Horse Velo ) do a early morning ride to hopefully catch the sun rise. So it was out the door at 3.30 am to ride to the meeting point, to my surprise there where around ten riders turn up ! We headed up into the hills as quick as possible, with the long climb of Star bank behind us we just catched the sun rise.
Then it was into the Peak District for a few more hours of hills.
On the return leg we stopped in the market town of Leek for breakfast. Bacon and cheese rapped in an oatcake “fantastic ”

It was a great morning with a good bunch of lads, a nice training ride for Joogle as it was a super early start.
I will definitely be joining this ride next year.
